Role Overview

The AVP – Government Sales will lead and expand Aska Technologies’ business in the Government and Institutional segment across India. The role requires deep understanding of government procurement processes, ability to drive tenders and rate contracts, build senior-level relationships, and manage a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the

    government & PSU sales vertical

    for Aska Technologies across states and central departments.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities in

    tenders, GEM, rate contracts, and direct government projects

    .
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with

    bureaucrats, procurement heads, PSUs, and Government officials.

  • Ensure effective coordination between sales, technical, and project execution teams to meet delivery commitments.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes affecting B2G sales.
  • Own the

    sales target, revenue forecasting, and pipeline management

    for government business.
  • Guide and mentor regional sales teams; ensure adherence to compliance and documentation standards.
  • Represent the company in government exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry forums.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of

    government procurement, GEM, tendering, and rate contract processes

  • Strong network within

    government departments, PSUs, and defense establishments

    .
  • Proven ability to close large-value direct government deals.
  • Excellent

    negotiation, communication, and relationship management

    skills.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on approach to execution.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Engineering / Business Management preferred.
  • 15–20 years of experience

    in government or institutional sales; at least

    5 years in leadership role

    .
  • Experience in

    lighting, power solutions, defense, safety, or mobility solutions

    preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving high-value government tenders or projects.
