Job Description

Google Ads Specialist


Key Responsibilities:


Google Ads Campaign Management:


  • Set up, manage, and optimize Google Search campaigns with focus on keyword strategy, bidding, and ad copy performance
  • Create and manage Google Shopping campaigns including product feed optimization and bid strategy
  • Build and optimize Google Display Network (GDN) campaigns for brand awareness and retargeting
  • Develop and manage YouTube advertising campaigns including in-stream, discovery, and bumper ads
  • Implement remarketing strategies across Google Display Network and YouTube
  • Manage campaign budgets and bid strategies (Manual CPC, Smart Bidding, Target CPA, Target ROAS) to achieve KPIs


Campaign Optimization & Testing:


  • Monitor daily campaign performance metrics (CPC, CPM, CTR, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, impression share)
  • Conduct continuous A/B testing on ad copy, headlines, descriptions, extensions, and landing pages
  • Perform keyword research, competitive analysis, and audience research to identify growth opportunities
  • Identify negative keywords and implement keyword management strategies
  • Optimize Quality Score through ad relevance, landing page experience, and expected CTR improvements
  • Test new campaign types and bidding strategies to improve performance


Technical & Tracking Implementation:


  • Set up and configure Google Tag Manager (GTM) for proper conversion tracking and event measurement
  • Implement Google Conversion Tracking pixels and verify tracking accuracy
  • Configure Google Analytics 4 integration with Google Ads for enhanced reporting and attribution
  • Set up dynamic remarketing audiences and custom audiences for campaign targeting
  • Troubleshoot tracking issues and ensure data accuracy across all platforms


Analytics & Reporting:


  • Create comprehensive performance dashboards and reports using Google Ads data
  • Analyze campaign performance data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Track key metrics (ROI, ROAS, CPA, CAC, LTV) and report against targets
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization
  • Document campaign learnings and best practices
  • Present performance reviews with recommendations for improvement


Collaboration & Strategy:


  • Partner with marketing teams on campaign strategy and alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop high-performing ad copy and creatives
  • Work with web development and UX teams on landing page optimization
  • Coordinate with product and sales teams on campaign requirements and lead quality standards
  • Stay updated on Google Ads platform updates, new features, and algorithm changes


Growth & Innovation:


  • Research and test new Google Ads features (Performance Max, Demand Gen, etc.)
  • Explore advanced audience targeting capabilities and bidding innovations
  • Benchmark campaign performance against industry standards
  • Identify opportunities to expand campaigns and test new keywords, audiences, and channels


Required Qualifications:


  • Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns at scale
  • Platform Expertise: Advanced proficiency with Google Ads (Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube campaigns); able to independently manage campaigns from setup to optimization
  • Certification:

    Google Ads Certification

    (currently active/valid)

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and conversion tracking setup
  • Keyword Research: Strong understanding of keyword strategy, match types, and negative keyword management
  • Bidding Strategy: Experience with multiple bidding strategies (Manual CPC, Smart Bidding, Target CPA, Target ROAS, Maximize Conversions)
  • Analytics Mindset: Strong data literacy with ability to analyze metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven optimization decisions
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to campaign setup, QA, and data accuracy
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Excel/Google Sheets: Proficiency in spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
