Resort Manager Job Description

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Resort Manager to oversee the daily operations of our properties. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with exceptional management and communication skills, dedicated to ensuring an outstanding experience for our guests and a productive environment for our staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage all aspects of resort operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and recreational facilities.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a high-performing team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by promptly addressing concerns, anticipating needs, and maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, control costs, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Property Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of all resort facilities, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Marketing & Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote the resort and drive occupancy.
  • Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce resort policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
  • Problem Solving: Effectively resolve guest complaints, employee issues, and operational challenges with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with all departments, staff, and senior management.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality services.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Resort Manager, Hotel Manager, or in a similar senior hospitality management role.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a track record of motivating and developing staff.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality operations and best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Proficiency in resort management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
