General Manager Sales & Marketing

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy aligned with the companys growth vision.
  • Lead and manage end-to-end sales operations across retail, e-commerce, direct distribution, and modern trade.
  • Establish efficient systems for lead generation, sales conversion, and customer retention.

Sales Management

  • Oversee B2B and B2C sales teams, ensuring achievement of revenue and performance targets.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, distributors, and suppliers.
  • Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation effectively.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Lead brand positioning, advertising, and marketing communication across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Collaborate with creative and digital teams for promotional campaigns, product launches, and content development.
  • Introduce and drive new product categories based on market and consumer insights.
  • Strengthen digital marketing, e-commerce, and online brand visibility initiatives.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional sales and marketing teams.
  • Design and implement training programs to enhance team performance and digital marketing capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Market Research & Analytics

  • Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing ROI and improve sales outcomes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate business performance.

P&L Management

  • Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective and goal-aligned spending.
  • Optimize profitability through strategic planning and efficient execution.

Key Requirements:

Education:

  • MBA in Marketing or Business Management preferred.

Experience:

  • 10–15 years of experience in Sales and Marketing within the

    Food or FMCG industry

    .
  • Proven success across Retail, E-commerce, Modern Trade, and Distribution channels.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, budgets, and large-scale business operations.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, digital marketing, and market dynamics.
