General Manager

General Manager – Head of Finishes

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end delivery of interior finishes & fit outs across hospital projects.
• Oversee all finishing stages including flooring, ceilings, wall finishes, lighting, joinery, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
• Manage site execution, daily progress, sequencing, and coordination with civil, MEP, and clinical planning teams.
• Lead and coordinate contractors, vendors, and suppliers (tiles, furniture, lighting, modular units, MEP interfaces).
• Ensure quality control, adherence to design intent, hospital standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive timely project delivery in line with approved schedules and milestones
• Handle procurement, cost control, and budget monitoring for all finishing materials and scopes.
• Resolve site challenges proactively while maintaining speed, safety, and quality.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, architects, and project leadership until final handover.
• Provide regular updates on the progress of finishing works and address any concerns or queries promptly.
• Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and material standards.
• Implement quality control checklists and snag management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory norms, fire, safety, and accessibility requirements.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
• Ensure snag-free handover of interiors.
• Coordinate as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M manuals.

• Strong command over interior finishes execution and hospital fit-outs
• Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and site teams simultaneously
• Deep understanding of finishing materials, specifications, mock-ups, and quality benchmarks
• Experience delivering projects under tight timelines and controlled budgets
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings
• High ownership mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management capabilities
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong documentation and reporting skills

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / architecture / construction management or equivalent
• 15+ years of experience in large-scale construction projects
• Prior exposure to hospitals, luxury hotels, or premium residential developments preferred
• Strong hands-on experience in interior finishes, FF&E coordination, and site execution
• Working knowledge of CAD / BIM / Revit is an advantage
