Job Title: General Manager – AAC Blocks Plant

Position Summary:

The General Manager (GM) will oversee the complete operations of the AAC Blocks Plant, including production, quality control, maintenance, procurement, logistics, and workforce management. The role requires strong leadership, deep technical understanding of AAC manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive operational efficiency, safety, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

Oversee daily plant operations to ensure optimal production output, quality, and efficiency.

Plan, organize, and control manufacturing processes to achieve production targets.

Ensure continuous improvement in processes, equipment utilization, and manpower productivity.

Monitor plant performance through KPIs (yield, downtime, energy consumption, etc.).

2. Production & Quality

Ensure consistent production of AAC blocks as per required standards and customer specifications.

Implement and monitor strict quality control systems and compliance with BIS/ISO standards.

Work closely with R&D or technical teams for product improvement and innovation.

3. Maintenance & Utilities

Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery and equipment (e.g., autoclaves, mixers, cutting machines, conveyors).

Ensure uninterrupted supply of power, steam, and other utilities.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

4. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

Manage procurement of raw materials (fly ash, lime, cement, gypsum, aluminum powder, etc.) at optimal cost and quality.

Maintain adequate inventory levels while minimizing working capital.

Coordinate with logistics for dispatch and delivery planning.

5. Financial & Cost Control

Prepare and monitor budgets, cost reports, and variance analysis.

Optimize resource utilization to control production costs.

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.

6. Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, factory laws, and safety standards.

Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Liaise with statutory authorities for licenses, inspections, and renewals.

7. Team Leadership & HR Management

Lead, motivate, and develop plant staff across departments.

Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning within the workforce.

Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of plant employees.

8. Strategic Planning & Reporting

Develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies.

Prepare periodic reports on production, efficiency, maintenance, and profitability.

Coordinate with top management for capacity expansion, modernization, and new project initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (MBA preferred).

Experience: Minimum 10–15 years in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in AAC blocks, cement, or similar building materials industry.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of AAC production processes and machinery.

Excellent leadership, planning, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and production management tools.

Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
