General Manager - Manufacturing Plant

As the General Manager of the AAC Blocks Plant, your role involves overseeing all operations of the plant, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, maintenance, procurement, logistics, and workforce management. Your leadership skills and technical expertise in AAC manufacturing processes will be crucial in driving operational efficiency, safety, and profitability. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Operations Management** - Supervise daily plant operations for optimal production output and efficiency. - Organize manufacturing processes to meet production targets. - Implement continuous improvement strategies for processes and manpower productivity. - Monitor plant performance using KPIs such as yield, downtime, and energy consumption. - **Production & Quality** - Ensure consistent production of AAC blocks meeting quality standards. - Establish and monitor quality control systems in compliance with BIS/ISO standards. - Collaborate with R&D for product enhancement and innovation. - **Maintenance & Utilities** - Manage machinery maintenance and ensure utility supply. - Develop preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. - **Supply Chain & Inventory Management** - Procure raw materials at optimal cost and quality. - Manage inventory levels efficiently. - Coordinate with logistics for dispatch planning. - **Financial & Cost Control** - Monitor budgets, cost reports, and variance analysis. - Optimize resource utilization to control production costs. - Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety. - **Compliance & Safety** - Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and safety standards. - Promote a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility. - **Team Leadership & HR Management** - Lead, motivate, and develop plant staff. - Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of employees. - **Strategic Planning & Reporting** - Develop operational strategies and prepare periodic reports. - Coordinate with top management for capacity expansion and new projects. **Qualifications & Experience:** - **Education:** B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (MBA preferred). - **Experience:** Minimum 10-15 years in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles in AAC blocks or similar industries. **Skills:** - Strong knowledge of AAC production processes and machinery. - Excellent leadership, planning, and analytical skills. - Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and production management tools. - Strong communication and negotiation abilities. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** - Production volume vs. target - Quality & rejection rate - Plant efficiency and uptime - Cost per cubic meter of AAC block - Safety compliance and zero-incident rate - Employee productivity and retention This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and provident fund.
