Job Description

General Manager – Finance:

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (MBA Finance / M. Com preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as CA / CMA / CPA are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, taxation, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Strategy

  • Develop financial strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Prepare long-term business plans, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Ensure financial sustainability and growth by analysing trends and risks.

2. Accounting & Financial Management

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure books of accounts are maintained accurately and in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Lead annual budget preparation across departments.
  • Track budget deviations and initiate cost-control measures.
  • Optimize operational expenses without compromising output quality.

4. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliance (GST, Income Tax, PF/ESI, ROC, etc.).
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
  • Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.

5. Audit & Reporting

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Ensure timely closure of audits with minimal observations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

6. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flows, fund allocation, and working capital.
  • Oversee banking operations, loan documentation, fund management, and investor relations.
  • Maintain healthy liquidity for smooth operations.

7. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Assign responsibilities, review performance, and ensure skill development.
  • Maintain a positive and ethical work environment.

8. Management Support

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Board / MD for decision making.
  • Support strategic initiatives, new projects, and business expansions with financial analysis.
  • Coordinate with all departments for financial integration and smooth operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
