Position one - General Manager Plant Commercial

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all

  commercial and techno-commercial operations

  at the plant.
• Manage

  procurement of raw materials, consumables, capital goods

  , and services as per budget and timelines.
• Develop and implement

  cost-control strategies

  to optimize operating expenses.
• Ensure

  timely vendor payments

  , contract management, and adherence to company policies.
• Liaise with corporate finance, accounts, and audit teams for

  budgeting, MIS, and compliance

  .
• Manage

  inventory control

  , logistics, and material dispatch coordination.
• Handle

  commercial negotiations

  , price finalization, and vendor development.
• Review and approve

  purchase orders, agreements, and rate contracts

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  GST, excise, and other statutory commercial requirements

  .
• Lead and mentor the commercial team for effective performance and process improvement.
  
• Support the

  plant head

  in achieving business targets through commercial efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  SAP/MM module

  and ERP-based procurement systems.

Qualification & Experience:

• MBA / PGDM / M.Com / BE /CA/ICWA with specialization in

  Materials Management / Supply Chain / Commerce

  .

• 18 TO 20 years

  of experience in a manufacturing organization, including at least

  5 years in a senior commercial leadership role

  at a plant.

Position Overview:

The Manager – Plant Commercial will be responsible for handling day-to-day plant commercial operations, procurement activities, vendor coordination, and ensuring smooth material flow aligned with production needs and company policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage

  local procurement

  of raw materials, consumables, and engineering spares.
• Assist in

  commercial contract execution, vendor management

  , and payment follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate

  inventory and consumption records

  in SAP / ERP.
• Coordinate with stores, production, and accounts departments for

  material planning and cost control

  .
• Prepare and analyze

  MIS reports

  related to purchase, cost variance, and material utilization.
• Ensure

  compliance

  with all commercial, taxation, and company policy guidelines.
• Support GM in

  price negotiation, supplier evaluation

  , and

  cost optimization

  initiatives.
• Facilitate smooth dispatch and logistics coordination for inbound/outbound material.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in

  SAP-MM / ERP

• Knowledge of

Qualification & Experience:

• Graduate / Postgraduate in

  of experience in plant commercial operations, preferably in a

  manufacturing / process industry
