Role & responsibilities

Responsible for all Import and Export Documents (like pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation for Exports and customs clearances for Imports). Export, logistics & Documentation Co-ordination with plants for containerized & other dispatches. Arranging Containers for factory stuffing. Instructions to forwarder. Freight enquiries. Followup with CHA, Shipping Line & Forwarders for shipment & release of BL. Container tracking. Follow up with Agents for existing & new orders. Preparing Purchase and Sale Orders. Preparing & supervising of Import and Export (Preshipment & Post Shipment) Documents, Import, Imports logistics & Documentation Preparing New Purchase Order Follow up with Importers/Suppliers for import documents from Canada. Handling independently import clearance with logistics & CHA's. Sending all Original Import Documents to CHA for clearance Take care for Detention and Demurrages of Import Materials. Time to time read and take advantages of FTP- TRADE AGREEMENTS LIKE CEPA, CECA , ASEAN ETC. HANDLING LOGISTICS ALL PARTS I.E. CHA, FORWARDERS, CONCOR & TRUCK TRANSPORTATION), Placement of purchase orders with the suppliers Close follow-ups with the suppliers for execution of orders Documentary control and proper distribution to all concerned Monitoring and Tracking of shipments Maintenance of records Clearance Bill passing

Arranging freight quotaions from forwarders and Preparing RFQ for finalization of export shipments.

• Follow up with CHA, forwarders, Shipping lines, Train operators etc
• Directs inbound and outbound logistics operations such as; transportation, inventory control, warehouse activities, safety performance and logistics quality management.
• Assesses and recommends optimal shipping methods, carriers, routing, equipment and frequency to meet required transportation parameters, delivery specifications and costs. Recommend carrier base and negotiates competitive rates for logistics needs.
• Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules.
• Determines space requirements and position of shipment in boxcars and trucks.
• Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits.
• Monitor import and export processes to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate & cross functional coordinaton with all departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as Sales, Order Management, Accounting and Planning.
• Perform total landed cost analysis and provide routine updates to the stakeholders
• Arrangement of Customs seal from customs authorized agencies for export containers
• Booking of export vehicles intimation to warehouse team and timely movement of container from ICD to plant
• Responsible for global logistics operations integration projects including but not limited to shipping validation, coordinating / enabling IT systems, monitoring / implementing trade compliance and regulatory requirements

Preferred candidate profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 17 years of experience in international logistics operations, with a focus on export-import compliance.
3. Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and EXIM policies.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
5. Proven track record of successfully managing logistics operations and driving process improvements.
6. Certification in Supply Chain Management or EXIM practices is a plus.
