Job Summary:

The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospital’s front desk and reception area. This role ensures smooth patient registration, appointment scheduling, billing coordination, and excellent customer service. The Front Office Manager supervises front office staff, ensures compliance with hospital policies, and acts as the first point of contact for patients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage front desk staff including receptionists, patient coordinators, and clerks.
  • Oversee patient registration, appointment scheduling, check-in/check-out procedures, and admission processes.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience from entry to discharge.
  • Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor and ensure front office staff follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with billing and insurance departments to ensure accurate patient data and documentation.
  • Train, motivate, and evaluate front office team members to maintain high service standards.
  • Manage daily staffing schedules and ensure adequate front desk coverage.
  • Collaborate with other departments (nursing, diagnostics, billing, etc.) to facilitate patient flow and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain records of front desk operations and generate reports on patient footfall, waiting times, etc.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, well-organized, and welcoming at all times.
  • Adhere to hospital confidentiality policies and ensure patient information is protected.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare front office setting, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with hospital management systems (HMS) and electronic health records (EHR) preferred.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
