Scrub Nurse

Job Summary: The Scrub Nurse is a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for maintaining a sterile field and assisting the surgeon during procedures. The role involves preparation of the operating room, instruments, and supplies, as well as direct support to surgeons throughout the operation. Key Responsibilities: Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and equipment. Maintain a sterile environment before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assist the surgeon by passing instruments and other sterile supplies during operations. Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to ensure patient safety. Monitor the surgical field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team. Collaborate with circulating nurses and other OR staff to ensure smooth workflow. Handle surgical specimens with proper labeling and care. Follow infection control protocols and hospital policies at all times. Assist in preparing patients for surgery as needed. Participate in post-operative clean-up and re-stocking of supplies. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license (active and in good standing) Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) preferred At least 1 year of experience in a surgical or operating room setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Skills and Attributes: Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations Strong organizational and time management abilities Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in an operating room environment Requires standing for long periods and handling instruments May involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials Must be available for shift work, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Evening shift Morning shift Night shift Rotational shift Work Location: In person
