Department: Operation Theatre (OT)
Reports To: OT In-charge / Nursing Superintendent
Location: Dadri , Uttar Pradesh
1. Job Summary

The Scrub Nurse is responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field before and during surgical procedures. They assist surgeons directly by handling instruments, maintaining aseptic conditions, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgery.

2. Qualifications & Experience

• Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing (Registered Nurse with State Nursing Council)
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Scrub Nurse in Operation Theatre
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred

3. Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operation theatre with necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assist in surgical hand scrub and gowning/gloving of the surgical team.
• Ensure sterile technique and maintain the sterile field throughout the procedure.
• Count instruments, swabs, and needles before, during, and after surgery.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during the procedure.
• Handle and pass surgical instruments efficiently and safely.
• Assist in draping and positioning the patient.
• Manage used instruments — send for sterilization post-procedure.
• Record and report any equipment malfunction or breakage.
• Work closely with the circulating nurse and anesthetist for smooth coordination.
• Maintain OT records, instrument logs, and consumable usage.
• Ensure proper infection control and waste segregation practices.
• Participate in emergency surgeries when required.
• Maintain professional behavior and uphold patient confidentiality.

• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
• Attention to detail and quick decision-making

5. Work Schedule

• Shift: Rotational (Morning / Evening / Night as per OT schedule)
• Location: Dadri , Uttar Pradesh

6. Salary

• As per hospital policy and experience level.
• (e.g., ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
