Relationship Manager - Mutual Fund Sales (Entry Level)
Industry: Financial Services / Asset Management (Mutual Funds). Sector: Retail mutual fund distribution and investor servicing across India. This on-site role is ideal for B.Com freshers who want to build a front-line sales career in an Asset Management Company (AMC) environment—focused on acquiring retail SIPs, servicing investors, and growing AUM through relationship-driven distribution.Role & Responsibilities
- Drive retail mutual fund sales in an assigned territory: generate leads, conduct investor meetings, convert prospects into SIPs and lump-sum subscriptions to grow AUM.
- Handle end-to-end investor onboarding and servicing: complete KYC, complete application/mandate collection, explain product features, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Educate clients on mutual fund solutions (equity, debt, hybrid), SIP benefits, systematic withdrawal plans, and risk-return profiles to enable informed decisions.
- Collaborate with the internal sales support and operations teams to ensure timely transaction processing, investor communications, and issue resolution.
- Maintain and update CRM with leads, follow-ups, conversions, and pipeline metrics; provide weekly territory reports and achievement updates against targets.
- Attend training, product briefings, and sales huddles; proactively upskill on regulatory compliance (KYC/AML) and obtain required certifications (NISM/AMFI).
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- B.Com graduate, freshers or up to 1 year of relevant internship/field sales experience; willing to work on-site across India.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and client-facing confidence; comfortable with door-to-door and field meetings.
- Basic understanding of mutual funds, SIPs, and personal finance concepts; quick learner with numerical comfort.
- Able to complete investor KYC, basic documentation, and follow compliance guidelines; high integrity and attention to detail.
- Willingness to obtain NISM Mutual Fund Distributor certification and AMFI registration within the stipulated timeframe.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with CRM tools (or ability to learn quickly).
Preferred
- Prior internship or experience in financial services, sales, or customer service; local language fluency for territory engagement.
- Valid driving license and willingness for regular travel within assigned territory.
