Job Description

The Training Head is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all training programs across the Kannu Ki Chai (QSR brand) to ensure operational excellence, brand standard adherence, and consistent guest experience. This role ensures that new hires are effectively onboarded, existing staff are continuously upskilled, and leadership teams are equipped to manage high-performing outlets.


Key Responsibilities

1. Training Strategy & Planning

  • Design and implement a comprehensive training roadmap for all positions (Front of House, Back of House, Outlet Management, and Support Staff).
  • Develop SOP-based training modules aligned with brand standards and operational requirements.
  • Introduce e-learning platforms, in-store training kits, and blended learning methods.

2. New Employee Onboarding

  • Oversee induction programs covering brand values, service standards, food safety, and operational protocols.
  • Ensure consistent training delivery across all outlets during new store openings.

3. Continuous Skill Development

  • Implement refresher training schedules for all staff categories.
  • Develop leadership and managerial capability-building programs for Outlet Managers and Shift Leaders.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to equip in-house trainers.

4. Quality & Compliance

  • Monitor and audit training effectiveness through mystery audits, on-the-job evaluations, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, and other food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Operations teams to close training gaps identified during audits.

5. Training Material Development

  • Create manuals, videos, checklists, and digital content for operational processes and customer service standards.
  • Update training content in line with menu changes, promotions, or operational upgrades.

6. Performance Measurement

  • Track training ROI through productivity improvements, reduced attrition, and improved customer feedback scores.
  • Maintain a training MIS for management review.

7. Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor regional trainers and training coordinators.
  • Set clear KPIs for the training team and conduct regular performance reviews.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of QSR operations, guest service, and food safety.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office, LMS platforms, and digital training tools.
  • Strong analytical skills for measuring training effectiveness.
