Job Summary
As an FPGA RTL Engineer at Evon Technologies, you will be responsible for the design, development, verification, and documentation of FPGA-based hardware solutions.You will work primarily on RTL design using Verilog/VHDL, with a focus on physical layer signal processing and FPGA implementation, particularly using Xilinx Vivado tools.The role also requires adherence to DO-254 standards for safety-critical design and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement FPGA RTL designs using Verilog or VHDL.
- Collaborate on system architecture and contribute to design specifications.
- Perform physical layer signal processing and optimization on FPGA platforms.
- Utilize Xilinx Vivado toolchain for synthesis, implementation, and timing analysis.
- Conduct thorough verification and validation of FPGA designs using simulation and testbenches.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with DO-254 standards.
- Support hardware bring-up, integration, and debugging activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware design, firmware, and system engineers.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve FPGA-related issues throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Skills And Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in FPGA RTL design and development.
- Strong proficiency in Verilog and/or VHDL coding and simulation.
- Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGA development tools (Vivado preferred).
- In-depth understanding of physical layer signal processing techniques.
- Experience working with DO-254 or similar aerospace/defense standards for hardware development and documentation.
- Solid knowledge of FPGA architecture, timing constraints, and synthesis optimizations.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools for FPGA design.
- Familiarity with hardware debugging tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
