Food Technologist

We are seeking a scientifically grounded and innovation-focused Manager- New Product Development to lead new product development in the functional food, nutrition, and wellness space for digital platforms. The ideal candidate will come with a background in food science, R&D, or nutrition and have experience launching consumer-friendly products in collaboration with third-party manufacturers.

• Identify gaps and opportunities for new product development in the functional foods, supplements, and wellness categories
• Translate scientific knowledge and market insights into commercially viable product concepts
• Work with third-party manufacturers to develop, test, and finalize formulations
• Review ingredient efficacy, shelf life, regulatory acceptability, and nutritional profiles
• Define product and packaging specifications suited for e-commerce
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (FSSAI, AYUSH, Legal Metrology, Nutritional Labeling)
• Collaborate with internal teams (design, content, category, legal, and supply chain) for timely launch
• Lead product onboarding and performance tracking across online platforms
• Monitor digital sales metrics, customer reviews, and competitor benchmarks
• Continuously evolve product offerings based on feedback and data 

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or allied disciplines
• 5+ years of experience in R&D, formulation, or NPD in functional foods / nutraceuticals / health & wellness products
• Prior experience working with third-party manufacturing or white-labeled brands is preferred
• Familiarity with FSSAI, AYUSH, and nutritional compliance guidelines
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle, especially for digital-first consumption
• A strong scientific and consumer-oriented mindset
• Hands-on experience with functional ingredients, clean-label formulations, and innovation in food/Nutrition
• Exposure to launching products via D2C or marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, etc.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
