Supervision and Leadership:Oversee and lead the front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bartenders.
Set a positive example for the team by demonstrating excellent customer service and professionalism.
Customer Service:Ensure that customers receive exceptional service and address any concerns or complaints promptly.
Train staff on proper service etiquette and techniques.
Shift Management:Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing duties.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to staff during shifts to ensure efficient service.Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
Scheduling:Create staff schedules, taking into account business needs, labor costs, and employee availability.
Adjust staffing levels as needed to meet peak and slow periods.
Inventory and Stock Control:Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
Ensure the availability of food and beverage items on the menu.
Financial Management:Monitor sales and revenue, analyze financial data, and work to increase profitability.
Control costs, such as labor and overhead expenses, to maintain budget targets.
Menu and Product Knowledge:Stay updated on the menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.
