Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and visionary
Functional COE Lead
to join our Oracle Applications practice, with deep expertise in
Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
and
Oracle Fusion Financials
. This is a strategic leadership role within our consulting organization, responsible for defining
delivery excellence, solution governance, and functional innovation
across our Oracle ERP engagements.As the COE Lead, you will establish and oversee
best practices, functional frameworks, solution templates, and reusable assets
to drive consistent, scalable, and high-quality delivery across client programs. You will also play a key role in
pre-sales, client advisory, and transformation programs
.
Key Responsibilities
COE Leadership & Governance:
- Establish and lead the Functional Center of Excellence for Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Financials.
- Define and enforce delivery standards, templates, and best practices for Oracle ERP functional workstreams.
- Build and maintain knowledge repositories, accelerators, and reusable artifacts for rapid solution delivery.
- Provide functional governance and quality assurance across multiple client engagements.
- Track-wise Functional Manager across regions
- Utilization - 50% on Pre-sales & Practice building and 50% on Delivery
- Provide leadership in the area of functional expertise and provide guidance to all levels of personnel seeking help in their area of expertise for project specific /industry specific/module specific issues.
- Be the functional go to person for critical issues on all projects across regions
Functional Solutioning & Advisory
- Act as the functional SME and advisor for complex ERP implementations, upgrades, and cloud transformations.
- Guide clients on best-fit functional solutions aligning with business needs and industry practices.
- Lead or support solution design, blueprinting, and business process workshops.
- Advise on finance process transformation, harmonization, and Oracle best practices.
Pre-Sales & Practice Development
- Collaborate with sales and bid teams to drive pre-sales solutioning, RFP responses, and client presentations.
- Define functional scope, estimates, delivery models, and solution differentiators.
- Co-ordinate & Assist in Pre-sales and demos and conduct demos, discovery sessions
- Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, webinars, and client advisory sessions.
- Recommends improvements in efficiency, services, processes, and product offerings within the scope of work.
Team Enablement & Mentoring
- Mentor and guide functional consultants across Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, PO, iProc, SLA, Projects, etc.).
- Conduct internal training sessions and promote certification pathways.
- Lead functional capability development initiatives across the practice.
- Co-ordinate & Conduct Skill enhancement & training & Talent acquisitions
- Co-ordinate & Assist in recruitment – Conduct interviews
Transformation Programs
- Provide leadership for large-scale Oracle ERP transformation projects, especially migrations from EBS to Oracle Cloud.
- Ensure end-to-end functional consistency across project phases (design, configuration, testing, training, cutover, and support).
- Support change management and user enablement efforts from a functional perspective.
- Understands client's requirements and works collaboratively with the project team to develop approaches and solutions customized to satisfy the customer needs.
- Provide Key Business solutions on Projects Deliveries
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, MBA or CPA is a plus.
- 15+ years of functional experience in Oracle ERP, including: Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and Proven track record with Oracle E-Business Suite (R12)
- Experience in a consulting/services environment, delivering solutions to external clients.
- Strong expertise across core financial modules and business processes (P2P, O2C, Record to Report, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage senior stakeholders, and influence solution decisions.
- Familiarity with implementation methodologies (OUM, AIM) and tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Oracle Cloud Financials certification(s)
- Experience with multi-country rollouts, shared services, and global design
