Job Title: Field Supervisor – Recovery & Collections Department: Collections & Recovery Location: Guwahati (Head Office) Reporting To: Collection Manager / Regional Manager Job Summary The Field Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing field recovery executives/agents to ensure timely recovery of overdue accounts. The role includes monitoring team performance, coordinating field visits, skip tracing, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory guidelines, and maintaining strong client relations. The Field Supervisor plays a critical part in maximizing recovery while ensuring ethical and professional practices. Key Responsibilities Plan, allocate, and supervise field recovery tasks to ensure targeted collections on daily/weekly/monthly basis Conduct field visits for high-value, difficult, or escalated cases Guide team on negotiation techniques, settlement discussions, and communication approach Track team performance; manage productivity reports and MIS updates Review delinquent accounts and support skip tracing to locate unresponsive customers Ensure legal protocols and compliance guidelines are always followed Coordinate with repossession partners (for secured assets, when applicable) Maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to support smooth operations Train and mentor field agents to improve recovery efficiency and customer handling Handle customer grievances and disputes in a professional manner Ensure safety of staff and secure handling of collected payments/documents Monitor and optimize travel planning for field efficiency Conduct regular audits of recovery processes and documentation adherence. Required Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent communication and negotiation skills Knowledge of recovery procedures, RBI guidelines, and local legal regulations Field operations management experience Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Proficiency in reporting tools, smartphones, and basic MS Office Ability to work under pressure and meet targets High integrity and professional conduct Education & Experience - Higher Secondary / Bachelor’s degree (preferred) 2–4 years of experience in debt recovery or collections field operations Experience in BFSI / NBFC / Microfinance / Telecom collections preferred Local market and geography knowledge required Possession of valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively
