Job Title: Service Engineer

We're seeking an experienced and results-driven Service Engineer with hands on experience in Maintenance of Industrial Valves at client's location in Odisha, with understanding of Documentation of MTTR, MTBF, Managing teams.

The Site Engineer (Maintenance – Industrial Valves) is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and testing a variety of industrial valves used in process plants, refineries, power stations, and manufacturing units. The role involves hands-on field work, troubleshooting, coordination with clients, and ensuring reliable valve performance to minimize downtime and maintain plant efficiency.

1. Receive Valves from the site conduct initial inspections of the Valves

2. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of various types of industrial valves, including gate, globe, check, ball, butterfly, pressure relief, and control valves.

3. Conduct valve dismantling, cleaning, lapping, seat and seal replacement, and reassembly as per standard maintenance procedures.

4. Perform valve testing, calibration, and inspection using appropriate tools and test benches.

5. Diagnose valve failures and identify causes such as leakage, jamming, or actuation problems.

6. Prepare and maintain detailed maintenance reports, service logs, and test certificates.

7. Ensure compliance with safety standards and site regulations during all maintenance activities.

8. Coordinate with the planning, stores, and quality teams to ensure availability of parts and proper documentation.

9.Support the commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities of plant equipment involving valve systems.

10. Provide technical support to clients on valve operation, maintenance schedules, and upgrades.

11.Supervise valve technicians and contractors on site, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.

12. Participate in regular tool-box talks, safety meetings, and training programs.

-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent.

-5-10 years of relevant experience in maintenance, servicing, or overhaul of industrial valves in sectors such as:

• Oil & Gas
• Petrochemical
• Power Generation
• Manufacturing / Process Plants/Alumina Plants (Preferred)
• Strong knowledge of valve types, construction, and operation.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, valve data sheets, and maintenance manuals.
• Familiarity with valve testing procedures and calibration equipment.
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric actuators.
• Knowledge of safety standards such as API, ASME, or ISO related to valve maintenance.
• Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, report preparation, data entry).
