Our focus on innovation and customer satisfaction sets us apart in the industry. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Store Assistant at Venus Engineering Works in Ahmedabad. The Store Assistant will be responsible for handling day-to-day operations in the store, assisting customers, managing retail sales, organizing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Job Summary: We're seeking an experienced and results-driven Store keeper with hands on experience in Mechanical manufacturing unit, with understanding of GRN generation, Stock keeping, material segregation and coordination with Procurement and Production teams. Key Responsibilities: 1. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, tools, and spare parts as per purchase orders and specifications. 2. Properly label, store, and organize materials in designated locations for easy identification and retrieval. 3. Issue materials to production and maintenance departments based on approved requisitions. 4. Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all receipts, issues, and stock balances (manual and computerized). 5. Conduct periodic stock checks and reconcile physical stock with system records. 6. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor or procurement team. 7. Ensure safe storage practices and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. 8. Coordinate with the purchasing department for timely replenishment of critical items. 9. Handle tools and instruments issued to workshop personnel and ensure their proper return and maintenance. 10. Assist in preparing monthly inventory reports and consumption summaries. 11. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store area. Job Specification:- - B.Com; BBA, Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Store Management, or related field. -0–3 years of experience as a Store Keeper or Store Assistant in a mechanical or manufacturing setup. -Good knowledge of mechanical components, tools, and engineering materials. -Proficiency in inventory management software (ERP, MS Excel, Tally etc.). -Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and record-keeping skills. -Good communication and coordination abilities. -Basic knowledge of safety and material handling procedures.
