Job Description

Job Title: Field Executive / Field Operations Executive / Field Support Executive
Salary Range: ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 INR (Per Month)
Work Location: Trichy
Reports To: Operations Manager / Field Manager

The Field Sales Executive is a front-line revenue generator responsible for driving sales of our products/services (which require basic IT understanding) and managing customer relationships within a designated territory. Success in this role demands a blend of strong sales acumen, exceptional client service, and the mandatory basic IT knowledge to effectively demonstrate and support technology-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Business Development

  • Drive Revenue: Consistently achieve and surpass assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively generate new business through strategic field visits, structured cold calling, networking, and developing a robust referral pipeline.
  • Product Demonstration: Conduct compelling sales presentations and articulate the product features and value proposition clearly.
  • Technical Communication (Mandatory): Demonstrate the ability to explain the basic technical setup or operational aspects of the product (e.g., app installation, device pairing, basic connectivity checks) to potential clients.

Client Relationship Management

  • Acquisition & Retention: Build and nurture long-term, trusting relationships with clients to ensure customer loyalty and maximize repeat business opportunities.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for sales-related inquiries and ensure the timely collection of payments.

Operational Excellence

  • Reporting & Data Integrity: Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups using the CRM/mobile sales application.
  • Coordination: Ensure seamless coordination with internal teams (Logistics, Support) for efficient order processing and delivery.
  • Market Analysis: Actively collect and report detailed market feedback, competitor activities, and industry trends to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements (Must-Haves)

  • Sales Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in direct field sales or territory management.
  • IT Knowledge: Mandatory basic understanding of computer hardware, mobile applications, and network/Wi-Fi troubleshooting to assist with on-site setup and demonstration.
  • Mobility: Must possess a two-wheeler and a valid Driving License, with a willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory daily.

Core Competencies

  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills (fluent in local language and proficient in basic English).
  • Acumen: Strong negotiation, presentation, and objection-handling abilities.
  • Mindset: Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and intrinsically target-oriented.
  • Technical Usage: Competent in using a smartphone/tablet for reporting and basic knowledge of MS Office.
  • Education (Preferred): Minimum 12th Pass; Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Performance will be rigorously measured against:

  • Sales Target Achievement: Percentage achievement of monthly revenue/volume targets.
  • New Client Acquisition (NCA): Number of new customers successfully onboarded.
  • Customer Health: Measured by retention rates and timely payment collection efficiency.
  • Reporting Compliance: Timeliness and accuracy of field reports and CRM data entry.
