Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fashion Merchandiser with 3–4 years of proven expertise in apparel merchandising and direct client communication, particularly with US-based clients. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in product development, order execution, coordination with buyers, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end merchandising processes, from product development to order fulfillment.
• Coordinate with US clients for sample approvals, product updates, costing, and shipment tracking.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to meet buyer requirements.
• Prepare and manage Time and Action (T&A) calendars to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Negotiate prices, handle costing sheets, and maintain profitability.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with vendors, suppliers, and factories to monitor production progress.
• Ensure product quality standards are maintained as per buyer expectations.
• Track market trends and competitor analysis to support product development.
• Handle documentation, purchase orders, and shipment follow-up.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and vendors for repeat business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile, Apparel Management, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in apparel/fashion merchandising.
• Prior experience handling US buyers/clients is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and production processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and merchandising software/tools.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in women’s and men’s wear categories.
• Knowledge of export procedures and international compliance.
• Strong vendor management and sourcing capabilities.
