Factory Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Factory Manager to oversee the entire garment manufacturing unit specializing in shirts. The role involves managing production, quality, manpower, compliance, and operational efficiency to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality output. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills and extensive experience in shirt manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Operations & Production Management

• Oversee end-to-end factory operations including cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing.
• Develop and implement production plans to ensure timely delivery based on buyer orders.
• Monitor production efficiency, output, line balancing, and utilization of manpower and machinery.
• Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards throughout all processes.
• Work closely with quality teams to reduce defects, rework, and wastage.
• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, safety standards, and factory policies.

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Lead, train, and supervise production managers, supervisors, and factory staff.
• Ensure proper allocation of manpower across departments.
• Maintain discipline, safety, and a healthy working environment inside the factory.

Process Improvement

• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for higher productivity.
• Use Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and industrial engineering techniques to optimize workflow.
• Monitor and reduce production costs through efficient resource utilization.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with merchandising, planning, procurement, and HR teams for smooth operations.
• Review daily production reports and share updates with senior management.
• Manage maintenance schedules for machinery and ensure minimal downtime.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, or a related field.
• 10–15+ years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 5 years in shirt production.
• Proven experience in managing large factory operations and production teams.
• Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, quality systems, and compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, IE concepts
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and people-management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹85,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
