Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and functionality of our fitness center. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless experience for members by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility while managing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of gym equipment, ensuring all facilities are in top condition.
  • Schedule and supervise regular cleaning and upkeep of the premises.
  • Manage contracts and relationships with vendors and service providers.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure the fitness center adheres to health, safety, and building regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing any potential hazards promptly.

Operations Management:

  • Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor utilities and resources to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage inventory of supplies, including gym equipment, cleaning materials, and other essentials.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and guide facility staff, including cleaners, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
  • Provide training to staff on safety protocols and operational procedures.

Member Experience:

  • Collaborate with the front desk and management team to address member feedback or concerns related to the facility.
  • Ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for all members and visitors.

Budget Management:

  • Plan and manage the facility's maintenance budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Provide regular reports to management on operational costs and performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the fitness or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance, safety, and operational processes.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
