Fabrication Engineer

We are seeking a Fabrication Engineer with strong experience in pressure vessels ((IBR, U-Stamp), skids, Heat Exchangers and similar process equipment. The role involves supervising fabrication activities, ensuring code compliance, quality standards, and project specifications to achieve high-quality fabrication outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with design / engineering teams to develop fabrication plans, Interpret and review fabrication drawings, welding maps, and material specifications.

- Ensure all fabrication activities adhere to relevant standards, including API, DNV, ABS, ISO certifications, compliance with ASME Section VIII, and other relevant codes.

- Conduct risk assessments, quality inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify structural integrity, weld quality, and performance. Monitor fabrication processes including forming, rolling, fit-up, and welding.

- Optimize fabrication workflows for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability, utilizing fabrication tools like CNC machines and robotic welders and Troubleshoot welding issues such as distortion, cracking, and heat-affected zone concerns.

- Coordinate shop activities, fabrication sequences, and material requirements.

- Document processes, generate fabrication reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including ITPs, Job travelers, costing etc.

-Strong project management skills, with experience delivering fabricated components on time and within budget

-Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

-Ability to draw the Cost estimation /quotation for customer enquiries for fabrication activity.

Qualification-

-Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Welding/Production Engineering.

-Experience with ASME Sec VIII/IX and pressure vessel fabrication.

-Proficiency in welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW) and skid/module fabrication.

Experience Requirements: -

- Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in fabrication field.
