Fabrication Engineer

We are looking for a Fabrication Engineer to manage the design, planning, and fabrication of metal structures, ensuring top-notch quality control. The role involves overseeing fabrication processes, resolving technical issues, and working closely with design teams to meet production deadlines. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards while maintaining high quality and performance throughout the production process.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage the assigned manufacturing team members to ensure product quality, efficient work habits, and on-time completion of work orders.
• Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and quality, reduce costs, and minimize scrap and product rework.
• Direct the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards to ensure consistency and quality.
• Ensure adequate capacity for current production needs and support analysis for future capacity, including cross-training team members to operate critical equipment, thereby reducing downtime.
• Direct and coordinate various essential manufacturing and operations programs, such as safety, housekeeping, worker involvement, and security.
• Work closely with planners to ensure the efficient scheduling of equipment and manpower, optimizing resources and time.
• Implement, document, and manage manufacturing equipment logs and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Ensure the timely reporting and resolution of production build issues in collaboration with engineering.
• Actively contribute to the production process, balancing work and management duties, with an estimated involvement of no more than 50% of the time.
• Perform other tasks as required by the manager to support manufacturing operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Male candidates are preferred.
• Two-wheeler is mandatory.
• Willing to travel within the city.
