Job Description

  • Job Title: EXIM Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

EXIM Manager

to oversee and manage all

export and import activities

for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth, compliant, and cost-effective international trade processes. This includes handling customs clearance, shipping documentation, coordination with freight forwarders, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of trade regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Export & Import Operations:
  • Manage end-to-end export and import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, COO, and shipping bills.
  • Coordinate with CHA (Customs House Agents), freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure timely shipments and clearances.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export laws, customs regulations, and international trade agreements.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Prepare and verify all documentation required for international trade transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to DGFT, Customs, GST, RBI, and FEMA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records for audits and compliance inspections.
  • Freight & Logistics Management:
  • Negotiate freight rates and contracts with international and domestic carriers.
  • Optimize transportation modes and routes to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
  • Track shipments and proactively address any delays or issues.
  • Coordination & Communication:
  • Liaise with internal departments including procurement, production, finance, and sales to align export/import activities with business needs.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all external trade partners and government authorities.
  • License & Incentive Management:
  • Manage export incentives such as MEIS, RoDTEP, EPCG, and Duty Drawback claims.
  • Apply for and manage import/export licenses (e.g., IEC, EPCG, Advance License) as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in export-import operations in the manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of customs procedures, trade compliance, and INCOTERMS.
  • Familiarity with DGFT, ICEGATE, EDI systems, and SAP or ERP systems.
