Executive - Production Technician (PPC)

Job Title: CA & DP Line Planning ExecutiveDepartment: Production Planning & Control (PPC) Reporting To: Manager – Production Planning / Operations Head Experience: 8 to 10 Years Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / B.E. Purpose of the Job:To ensure effective planning, execution, and monitoring of CA & DP (Cylinder Assembly & Delivery Pipe) line operations by aligning production schedules with material availability and capacity constraints. This role is pivotal in optimizing operations through inventory control, KPI performance tracking, preventive maintenance planning, and lean manufacturing practices such as EPEI and batch size optimization. It also includes proactive coordination with cross-functional teams to manage deviations and implement contingency strategies. Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute effective production plans for CA & DP lines based on demand forecasts and capacity. Lead and facilitate Demand Capacity Check (DCC) meetings. Ensure timely availability of materials by coordinating with Procurement and Stores. Schedule and plan preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve uptime. Monitor and optimize inventory levels, minimizing excess and shortages. Ensure accurate order management and timely closure of planned orders. Track and analyze Plan vs. Actual performance and take corrective actions. Monitor and clear COGI (Goods Movement Errors) regularly. Optimize batch sizes, especially for high-runner components. Implement EPEI (Every Part Every Interval) strategy for production leveling. Identify and resolve set mismatches and production anomalies. Minimize 262 (Reverse) movement entries and ensure proper stock adjustments. Clean up outdated or incorrect planned orders in SAP. Support operations by providing alternate plans in case of schedule failures. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between planning, production, and logistics. Desired Candidate Profile:Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / B.E. in Mechanical or Production Experience: 8–10 years in production planning or operations, preferably in automotive / manufacturing sector Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in SAP PP & MM modules Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA is an added advantage Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools (EPEI, Kanban, SMED, etc.) Effective communication and cross-functional coordination Inventory management, planning & scheduling expertise
