Job Description

You will be responsible for consistently preparing innovative and creative cuisine of the highest quality, presentation, and flavor for the dining rooms, banquets, and other food facilities to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction. In addition, you will oversee the smooth operation of the kitchen, managing areas such as profit, stock control, wastage control, hygiene practices, and staff training. Your main responsibilities will include training, developing, and motivating supervisors and culinary staff to consistently meet and exceed food preparation standards. You will teach preparation based on defined recipes and continuously seek ways to improve the cuisine. It is imperative to display exceptional leadership by fostering a positive work environment, counseling employees when necessary, and maintaining a dedicated and professional management approach. As the Executive Chef, you will provide direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations and have a deep understanding of each employee's role to be able to step in when needed. Setting performance standards, monitoring performance, and effectively communicating with and leading kitchen staff are key aspects of the role. You will be expected to make sound financial and business decisions, uphold honesty and integrity, and serve as a role model for the team. By advocating for exceptional customer service and satisfaction, you will guide your team to understand guest needs, provide feedback and coaching as necessary, and delegate tasks to develop supervisors and subordinates. Your duties will also involve menu development, cost management, food presentation, and ensuring compliance with food handling and sanitation standards. Maintaining equipment, reviewing guest feedback, coordinating with the purchase department, and ensuring consistent quality in food preparation are essential parts of the job. In summary, as the Executive Chef, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and service, and ensuring the overall success of the culinary team. This is a full-time position based in Guwahati, Assam. A diploma is preferred for this role, and a total of 10 years of work experience is required, with at least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef. The ability to commute or relocate to Guwahati is necessary for this position. Food will be provided as a benefit.,
