  • Ownership of relationships with LSPs serving customer’s business.
  • Ensuring LSPs are properly on-boarded into agreed operational process between KNIL and customer incl. connectivity between LSP and KNIL for transport instruction provision and / or for shipment status provision.
  • Securing adherence of LSPs to agreed SOPs and LSP operational performance in line with the agreed KPI targets.
  • Value creation for customer based on transport market knowledge / expertise / experience, as well as through efficient management of / collaboration with LSPs.
  • Developing digital agenda with LSPs in terms of automation of operational process and realtime availability of shipment status information.
  • LSP operational performance management (performance diagnostics, performance improvement, severe issue management)
  • BCP, preventive actions, emergency management
  • Value creation for customer in the areas of freight procurement (transport RFQ) support and transport market intelligence update
  • Change Management
  • Escalations Management (from customer, KNIL business manager, KNIL operations)
  • Data quality issues resolution with LSPs
How you create impact

LSP Integration

  • Manage the LSP integration process into the work stream of KN Integrated Logistics
  • Collect and prepare required LSP data for use in KN IL and customer systems
  • Run change management process with LSPs in roll-out of KN IL service portfolio
  • Lead LSP training and (EDI-) integration process
  • Promote digital agenda with LSPs in regards to accurate data provision, support of work process automation and technology enabled shipment status visibility


LSP Performance

  • Manage the existing relationships with the relevant LSPs in scope
  • Active monitoring of the LSP performance (against the agreed KPIs)
  • Lead of regular (monthly, quarterly) management meetings with LSPs to identify areas of improvement, track root-causes and define actions for prevention of issues in the future
  • Manage all relevant rates and other LSP master data during the respective engagement life cycle
  • Connect LSP Management to KN IL Control Tower and their respective tasks planning, customer service, freight settlement
  • Maintain and update LSP SOP in close collaboration with Business Manager
  • Support in network analysis, engineering and continuous improvement tasks
  • Collaborate with KNIL master data management and business analysts to ensure availability of required data / information to support decisions


Business contingency plans (BCP) availability and emergency management

  • Ensure business contingency plan is in place for customer’s business in alignment with customer and KNIL operations (e.g. back-up LSPs, routes, second LSP choice for critical lanes etc.)
  • Support of KNIL operations and customer in emergency situation resolution related to lack of LSP capacity, blocked shipments in transshipment ports, critical intransit delays, customs clearance issues etc.


Freight procurement management / support

  • Strong customer focus, close collaboration with KNIL corporate procurement team
  • Consult customer on the best suitable rate card format for customer’s business / mode of transport.
  • Leveraging on best KNIL practices, consult customer re. preparation, conducting and evaluation of transportation tenders.
  • Utilize KNIL corporate procurement knowledge / resources / systems to drive value creation in freight procurement for customers.
  • Setting up approach to spot procurement and supporting KNIL operational team in designing efficient and reliable spot procurement process.
  • Collaboration with Excellence Managers – Continuous Improvement on the opportunity to commercialize KNIL procurement support (e.g. managing RFQ) in gain sharing mechanism.


Market intelligence

  • Strong customer focus, close collaboration with KNIL corporate procurement team
  • Staying up-to-date in regards to current global / regional transportation market situation, capacity demand vs supply situation, transport rates / indexes trends.
  • Providing market intelligence updates to customer leveraging on KN IL corporate information.
  • Anticipating long / mid / short term risks for customer’s business and providing relevant input for customer, KNIL operations, business manager, continuous improvement.
What we would like you to bring
  • 3–5 years’ experience in LSP or 4PL performance management.
  • Strong KPI tracking and operational excellence focus.
  • Skilled in digital/EDI integration and data accuracy.
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance reporting.
  • Experience maintaining and enforcing LSP SOPs.
  • Knowledge of BCP and issue resolution in logistics.
  • Understanding of freight procurement and RFQ processes.
  • Able to lead change and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in global or regional logistics operations.
  • Proactive, analytical, and customer-focused communicator.
