MIT Vishwaprayag University, Solapur is a new age emerging University offering Undergrad, Post Grad programs. MITVPU has been established by MAEER's MIT, Pune in 2023. It has a sprawling 100 acre campus and the construction of additional buildings are in progress. We are looking for eligible Ex- Serviceman to work as the Estate Manager of the campus. Estate Manager shall report to the Executive President or any person designated by him / her The core responsibility is to supervise the ongoing maintenance of the Campus and construction work at the site in coordination with site engineer, guide the maintenance team as per the Management’s directives, and supervise & establish an efficient system of material handling on the Campus. Shall Co-ordinate with the Principals, Project Manager / Registrar or the person designated by him, Head Office and Vendors. Shall be responsible for the upkeeping viz. Housekeeping / Maintenance activities and horticulture of the entire Premises Regular inspections of premises for cleanliness, toilet hygiene. Ensure that the Infrastructure, Buildings, Hostels, furniture, fixtures and equipment is in good condition at all times. Ensure maintenance of Horticulture / Garden, Sports infrastructure and ground. Ensure that the electricity, water supply, sanitation systems and fire alarms are regularly inspected for efficiency and safety and ensure meet the standards prescribed by Government Departments and similar premises offered internationally. Ensure optimum and effective utilization of the Generator at all times so that the electricity costs are minimized as far as possible. Take necessary steps in effecting savings on electricity consumption and water supply. Ensure efficient transport arrangements for the students, staff and the guests. Ensure all compliances of the campus related to the scope of work and shall follow all applicable government rules and regulations. Over view entire canteen, cafeteria, hostel premises for hygiene, establish preventive management systems Provide support with regard to all maintenance and infrastructural arrangements. Ensure appropriate Scrap management systems on the campus Maintain and keep updated asset registers and inventories, at all times. Appropriate Indent system to reduce unnecessary stocks and storage. Maintain All Stock Registers to update the management whenever they have been asked for Ensure that inventory of all premises including Hostels, equipment and furniture is maintained and updated at all times. Security Management of Material and Men. To co-ordinate and oversee the campus’s security arrangements. To ensure adequate safeguards are available at premises so that children are in a safe and secure environment. Estate security including liaison with security contractors, preparation of security contract, periodic inspection of guards on duty, etc. Be responsible for overall Safety, fire safety precautions, fire drill, fire extinguishers, security arrangements, (In consent with Security In-charge), Health and Hygiene of the premises– Premises Infirmary operations (In consent with Hostel in-charge and Infirmary In-charge) pest control contracts, including the development of systems and procedures for all the above. Maintain a description of the premises buildings and grounds, and floor plans. Oversee and co-ordinate condemnation procedures. Co-ordinate and oversee arrangements required for events and functions at the premises. Oversee the cost savings through adequate planning and execution. Any other responsibilities assigned or Tasks requested by Management or the authorized person. Qualifications & Skills : Ex-Servicemen preferably with Civil and Electrical Engineering background Min. 15 years of experience in administering large estates especially educational campuses. Computer skills Good at maintaining interpersonal relations in office and with outside stakeholders. Excellent Communication skills Marathi speaking will be an added advantage Experience in managing the staff and lead a team towards excellence
