Job Description

Job Purpose

The ERP Coordinator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and ensuring the effective utilization of the company’s ERP system across various civil construction projects. The role involves coordinating between departments (such as HR, Accounts, Procurement, and Site Teams) to streamline data flow, ensure timely and accurate entry, generate reports, and provide user support and training.

Key Responsibilities

  1. ERP Management & Coordination

  • Act as the central point of contact for ERP-related operations and queries.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure accurate and timely data entry (materials, attendance, payroll, billing, etc.).
  • Ensure smooth workflow within the ERP for procurement, inventory, HR, and project modules.
  • Identify gaps or errors in data and coordinate with relevant departments for correction.
  1. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports from ERP for management review.
  • Support the management team with data insights to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key project performance indicators (KPIs) using ERP data.
  1. Training & User Support

  • Provide training and guidance to new users on ERP modules.
  • Troubleshoot basic ERP-related issues and coordinate with software vendors/IT team for technical support.
  • Maintain user manuals, process notes, and FAQs for staff reference.
  1. System Enhancement & Compliance

  • Suggest improvements or customizations in ERP modules to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Ensure data security, user access control, and compliance with company policies.
  • Support implementation of new ERP versions or modules across sites.

Skills required

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems used in construction or infrastructure industry (e.g., ERP, or customized ERP).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and report generation.
  • Basic understanding of civil construction processes (procurement, material management, billing, etc.).
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to train and support non-technical staff.

Qualification and Experience

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / IT / Computer Science / BCA / MCA / or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    6 - 10 years of experience in ERP coordination or data management within a construction or infrastructure company.
  • Preferred:

    Experience with ERP implementation or multi-site coordination.

Key performance indicators

  • Accuracy and timeliness of ERP data updates.
  • Reduction in data discrepancies across departments.
  • Number of successful trainings and user issue resolutions.
  • Quality and punctuality of MIS/ERP reports.
