Job Overview

The ERP/CRM Application Developer (Workday Specialist) is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and supporting enterprise ERP/CRM applications under the guidance of a Senior Lead. The role focuses on Workday HCM and Workday Studio, system integrations, configuration, technical troubleshooting, release support, and customer-facing activities. The specialist will contribute to process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement while mentoring junior team members and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Design

Analyze, design, develop, and test functionalities within assigned ERP/CRM modules.
Select appropriate technical options—reuse, improve, or reconfigure existing components.
Improve technical design by identifying recurring problem patterns.
Develop functional design specifications, deployment documentation, and other technical artifacts.
Perform design reviews, peer code reviews, and suggest improvements.

Configuration, Coding & Testing

Independently develop code/configurations following ERP/CRM best practices and coding standards.
Conduct unit testing with 95%+ coverage, prepare test data, and document results.
Perform RCA for defects, identify trends, and implement preventive measures.

Workday System Support & Enhancements

Support Workday HCM modules, integrations, configuration changes, and functional enhancements.
Manage semi-annual Workday release upgrades, test scripts, and new feature deployments.
Support EIBs, data loading activities, and security administration.
Ensure data integrity, troubleshoot system issues, and drive process efficiencies.

Client Interaction & Project Delivery

Communicate effectively with customers, clarify requirements, and present design options.
Act as a single point of contact for build, deployment, and post-production issues.
Independently manage client environments and perform installation-related tasks.
Participate in RFP estimations and follow Scrum ceremonies.

Documentation & Reporting

Create and review templates, checklists, design documents, and test artifacts.
Maintain high-quality documentation for all deliverables.
Provide regular task/status updates in accordance with project reporting standards.
