Location: Hyderabad CTC Range: ₹16 – ₹22 LPA Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in Snowflake, DBT, and Azure Data Factory, who can lead full-cycle data pipeline architecture, implementation, and optimization. This is a project ownership and team mentoring role demanding excellence in modern data stack and governance practices. Core Responsibilities Build scalable ELT pipelines using DBT on Snowflake, aligned with Medallion Architecture. Develop robust data models (staging, intermediate, mart layers) and orchestrate workflows using DBT Cloud, Airflow, or ADF. Optimize Snowflake performance: warehouse tuning, clustering, materialization strategy, and query profiling. Manage data ingestion from Azure Data Lake, APIs, and structured/semi-structured sources. Implement data security and governance (RBAC, HIPAA compliance, encryption best practices). Use Jinja, Python, and SQL for advanced model design, macro scripting, and transformations. Collaborate with business stakeholders and lead junior engineers. Ensure quality through automated testing (DBT tests), documentation, and CI/CD deployment. Must-Have Skills Snowflake performance tuning & RBAC Advanced DBT development (Cloud preferred) Azure Data Factory & Azure Data Lake SQL, Python, and Jinja templating Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) Experience with structured & semi-structured data ETL/ELT design, orchestration, and governance Project ownership and team mentoring experience Preferred Qualifications B.Tech/M.Tech in CS, Data Engineering, or related field Certifications: SnowPro Advanced, DBT Certified Developer Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC2)
