OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are looking for an Enterprise Solution Architect to join our Global Enterprise Technology Architecture team. Acting as a trusted business partner, you will shape the evolution of our global Procurement technology ecosystem, ensuring Coupa and connected platforms integrate seamlessly, data flows securely, and technology decisions drive efficiency and innovation.
Working closely with Procurement Product & Technology, Delivery, Engineering, and Enterprise IT teams, you will provide architectural leadership and design oversight for Procurement transformation and ongoing evolution, aligned to enterprise strategy, integration standards, and regulatory requirements.
SKILLS & CAPABILITIES
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear target-state architectures and scalable, secure, and resilient solution designs.
- Strong architectural depth across Procurement / Source-to-Pay ecosystems, beyond point-solution implementation.
- Solid understanding of integration architecture, including patterns, data flows, APIs and middleware.
- Experience designing cross-platform data and integration models spanning Procurement, Finance, HR, and supplier systems.
- Strategic mindset, able to balance near-term delivery with long-term architectural sustainability.
- Confident communicator, able to influence senior stakeholders on architectural decisions.
- Awareness of how automation and AI can improve Procurement efficiency and experience.
- Collaborative approach, comfortable working across federated and global teams.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in solution or enterprise architecture, accountable for defining and assuring target-state designs in complex environments.
- Experience designing Procurement or Source-to-Pay architectures, including Coupa and its integration into enterprise ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Procurement processes (S2C, P2P, supplier management, analytics).
- Demonstrated experience designing and governing enterprise integrations using APIs, middleware, and iPaaS platforms (e.g. Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi).
- Experience working alongside Product and Engineering teams, providing architectural oversight rather than delivery execution.
- Familiarity with security, compliance, and data protection requirements in enterprise systems.
- Exposure to M&A integration, system consolidation, or platform standardisation is advantageous.
- Desirable certifications: Coupa Solutions Architect, iPaaS / integration platforms, Cloud, and architecture frameworks (TOGAF).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Architecture Leadership & Strategy
- Define and maintain the Procurement domain architecture, ensuring alignment to Flutters enterprise architecture principles and technology strategy.
- Shape the target-state design for the global Procurement ecosystem, centred on Coupa, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and global consistency.
- Partner with other architects within Enterprise Technology and across the wider organisation to ensure Procurement transformation aligns with adjacent domains such as Finance and HR.
Integration & Data Design
- Provide architectural ownership and oversight for end-to-end integration design across Procurement technologies, working in close collaboration with operational and engineering teams to ensure seamless and secure data exchange with Finance, HR, and other enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with Data & Platform teams to align data models, governance, and migration approaches.
- Identify opportunities to embed automation and AI capabilities that reduce manual effort and improve employee experience.
- Collaborate with Security and Enterprise IT teams to ensure Procurement platforms contribute effectively to the organisations identity and access management (IAM) strategy, supporting accurate, automated user provisioning and compliance controls.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Ensure technology designs embed regulatory, security, and privacy controls (e.g. GDPR, SOX).
- Apply enterprise design standards, integration guardrails, and data governance practices across initiatives and programmes.
- Support architectural reviews and provide design assurance across relevant transformation and technology initiatives.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and stability requirements across both transformation and BAU operations.
Collaboration & Delivery Enablement
- Partner with Product Owners, Delivery and Engineering Leads to ensure architectural alignment throughout project lifecycles.
- Work closely with the Procurement Technology team and integration specialists, providing technical direction and design assurance.
- Engage with vendors and implementation partners to ensure alignment to enterprise principles and integration standards.
Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
- Contribute to the Procurement technology roadmap and influence investment decisions through architecture insight.
- Champion continuous improvement, ensuring lessons from delivery and operations inform future designs.
- Mentor and support teams, promoting architectural best practice and cross-functional collaboration.
