Engineering Manager

Recur Club is an AI-native debt financing platform, redefining how businesses access growth capital. We empower companies with recurring revenues to unlock instant, non-dilutive capital by trading their subscription and contract receivables. Our engineering team builds scalable fintech infrastructure infused with AI/LLM capabilities — automating underwriting, compliance, and deal execution. We are lean, fast, and ambitious, solving complex real-world problems in fintech through first-principles engineering.

What We’re Looking For

We want an Engineering Manager who thrives as a technical leader first, with the ability to guide, mentor, and manage a team of 5-8 engineers. You’ll spend a significant portion of your time designing and coding, while also driving execution, setting best practices, and developing your team.

Key Responsibilities

● Own end-to-end architecture of critical systems: multi-tenant SaaS workflows, APIs, and distributed services.

● Lead and mentor a team of ~5-8 engineers, balancing technical depth with people growth.

● Remain hands-on — writing high-quality code, reviewing PRs, and solving hard engineering problems.

● Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate LLM-powered modules (document intelligence, credit analysis, borrower/lender agents) into production systems.

● Drive engineering excellence: code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and fault tolerance.

● Act as a multiplier — upskill engineers, instill best practices, and raise the overall

technical bar.

Desired Skills & Experience

● Tier 1 Education with 5-8 years experience of software engineering experience, including leading small-to-mid sized teams (6–12 engineers).

● Exceptional coding and architecture skills in Java (Spring Boot); experience with Python a plus.

● Strong background in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native platforms (AWS).

● Skilled in system design, database design (SQL + NoSQL), and building resilient, multi-tenant SaaS systems.

● Exposure to LLM/AI integrations, vector databases (OpenSearch, Pinecone, Weaviate), or eagerness to learn quickly.

● Proven ability to mentor engineers and set technical direction while staying deeply hands-on.

● Hunger to learn, experiment, and drive impact in a fast-paced fintech environment.
