About the Role

Engineering Manager

This role is ideal for someone who wants to stay deeply hands-on while also growing into a strong people and execution leader.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering execution
across product development, QA, and infrastructure
Design, review, and implement
high-quality software systems and reliable architecture
Mentor and manage
a team of 3–5 engineers—ensuring technical excellence and personal growth
Own the engineering roadmap
in collaboration with product and business stakeholders
Ensure system reliability
through good dev practices, testing, and monitoring
Champion best practices
in software engineering, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
Communicate effectively
across functions—product, operations, and design

Requirements

7–10 years
of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role
Proven ability to
write and review high-quality code
in one or more modern languages
Strong understanding of
system design, databases, API development
, and
cloud infrastructure
(e.g., AWS, GCP, etc.)
Familiarity with
DevOps practices
and setting up observability tools
Ability to
leverage AI tools
to enhance efficiency and quality in software development and delivery
Ability to
work with give.do’s existing tech stack
—Node.js, MongoDB, React.js, TypeScript, and AWS. Prior experience in each is not mandatory, but you should be comfortable picking it up quickly.
Experience managing
end-to-end product cycles
including planning, execution, testing, and deployment
Comfort with
cross-functional collaboration
High degree of
ownership and autonomy
