Key Role Responsibilities: ➢Sound Technical Knowledge in Marine and offshore projects. ➢Demonstrate understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action. ➢Thorough knowledge in the selection of materials (material codes) based on its standard grades and specifications and as required by the major classification society or standards, such as DNV-GL, ABS, LR, Norsok, BS, EN, ISO, API. ➢Technical review of all materials certificates and properties required for shipbuilding and offshore projects received from vendors. ➢Experience in various hull structural design standards like DIN/JIS/Norsok as well as a good understanding of ABS, DNV, API, AISC and other related industry regulations and standards. ➢Strong background with resolution of technical issues during project engineering and execution phases. ➢Extensive knowledge of structural engineering practices and principles as well as understanding scientific methods of problem solving. ➢Demonstrated ability with cost analysis, engineering design methods, interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate all of these skills to a productive cost-effective result ➢Excellent program and project management skills with strong document management ➢Knowledge of using engineering 3D model software like Aveva E3D, Tekla, Cadmatic, Navisworks Manage, AUTO CAD, Autodesk Recap, HGG Procam, Sigma Nest and Rhinoceros 3D. ➢Demonstrates understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action. ➢Demonstrated ability with cost analysis, engineering design methods, interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate all of these skills to a productive cost-effective result ➢Excellent program and project management skills with strong document management ➢Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, process, change and improve design and equipment. ➢Familiar with local / international legislative requirements ➢Strong presentation, written and verbal skills Day- to-day operations: ➢Provide leadership for the day to day direction of the DDW engineering team ➢Direct, review, and approve engineering designs and change ➢Understand the scope of Work for New Build(offshore construction) and Rig new build/ Refurbishment ➢Define and manage the scope of work for Engineering teams ➢Prepare technical specifications ➢Prepare engineering execution plan ➢Plan multidiscipline engineering activities ➢Manage detail design and production engineering teams ➢Receive and evaluate AFD, AFC documents from engineering companies ➢Liaise with client to get approval for Engineering work ➢Incorporate construction methodology in the design ➢Manage changes from client /vendors and engineering company ➢Produce/Check/approve Production deliverables / workshop drawings such as: 3D model development including Structural, Mechanical, Piping, EIT using Tekla /CADMATIC /E3D or similar ➢Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommends / approve allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals ➢Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness. ➢Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and training employees as per department/project requirements. ➢Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence to meet departmental / project objectives. ➢Provide on the job training to the subordinates and succession plan within the department Minimum Education & Qualifications: ➢Minimum bachelor’s degree in Related Engineering Disciplines ➢Minimum of 15 Years Experience in offshore and Marine Industry ➢Minimum 10 Years Experience in Shipyard/ Offshore Yard Engineering management multidiscipline teams). ➢Minimum & Mandatory 10 years exp in Structural Production Engineering.
