- Job Summary
- The EMI/EMC Test Engineer will be responsible for performing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests as per international standards. The engineer will set up, execute, analyze, and document test results for electronic/electrical products in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform EMI/EMC testing as per international and regional standards such as CISPR, IEC/EN, ISO, MIL-STD, and DO-160.
- Operate and maintain EMI/EMC test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, LISNs, antennas, Anechoic chambers, and amplifiers.
- Prepare and verify test setups in accordance with test procedures and standard requirements.
- Conduct radiated and conducted emission and immunity tests (EFT, Surge, ESD, Conducted/Radiated Immunity, etc.).
- Prepare test reports and ensure traceability of results and calibration records.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory quality systems.
- Coordinate with customers for pre-test reviews, test scheduling, and result discussions.
- Support test development, automation, and lab maintenance activities.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards within the laboratory
Experience & Further Qualifications
- At least 1-3 years of professional experience in related area.
- Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC standards (CISPR 11/12/14/22/25, IEC 61000 series, , ISO 11452, ISO 7637 etc.).
- Hands-on experience with test instruments: EMI receivers, RF amplifiers, signal generators, antennas, LISNs, CDN, ESD simulators.
- Familiarity with test setups such as anechoic chambers and shielded rooms.
- Proficiency in documentation and report writing.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 calibration and test procedures is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team under tight schedules.
