Two major trends in the automotive industry – the shift to electric vehicles and vehicles with autonomous safety technologies – have created unique opportunities for Visteon. Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow Product Development Process to develop and deliver EM compliant product designs.
  • Review, analyze and negotiate customer EMC requirements.
  • Develop EMC design concepts with cross functional teams.
  • Develop EMC design plans for projects.
  • Participate in Technical Design Reviews with internal HW, Mechanical, Display teams to review for EMC topics at both Schematic, Board Layout and System levels.
  • Participate in Technical Design Reviews with external customers and suppliers, leading EMC relevant parts of reviews.
  • Plan and conduct pre-compliance EMC testing and fix issues found to assure compliance ready products passing design validations with 1st time success.
  • Document products EMC evolution and create customer reports and internal reports.
  • Participate in process improvement activities to evolve better processes.
  • Store and maintain findings, results, lessons learned.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE degree, MSEE preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years, experience in the automotive/ aerospace/ industrial domains.
  • With at least 2 years in EMC test or EMC design. iNARTE certified (EMC engineer or EMC Design engineer) a plus.
  • Significant hands-on experience in troubleshooting EMC issues, both test setup and product design.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Familiar with power supply design (linear, SMP), memory devices, displays (TFT), graphical display controllers, communication interfaces (CAN, LIN, USB, Bluetooth, A2B), tuners, antennas, audio amplifiers, automotive systems, microprocessors, ASIC’s, FPGA’s.
  • Circuit design and simulation experience for any of the above.
  • Knowledge of Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and the mutual effects on EMC.
  • EMC Simulation experience and result analysis is a plus.
  • Global working experience and good understanding of cross-country cultural aspects is added advantage.
