Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Electrical Design Trainee

to join our engineering team. This is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on experience in the design and development of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers to assist with creating electrical schematics, layouts, and documentation, while learning the fundamentals of electrical design in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or residential projects
Support in drafting and revising electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.)
Perform basic calculations for load analysis, circuit protection, and voltage drop
Participate in design reviews, site visits, and testing activities
Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and project managers to meet project requirements and deadlines
Maintain accurate documentation and records of designs, revisions, and technical reports
Learn and adhere to industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE)
Stay updated with emerging electrical design tools and technologies

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
Basic understanding of electrical principles and systems
Familiarity with electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Revit, etc.) is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Eagerness to learn, adapt, and work in a team environment
Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

Exposure to PLC programming, control panel design, or power distribution
Internship or project experience related to electrical design
Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in electrical design
