The Lead Engineer is responsible for end-to-end validation and testing of embedded systems across, IoT connectivity (Wi-SUN, Bluetooth, MQTT, Gateway), and Electric Vehicle (EV) domains. The role involves system-level validation, communication protocol analysis, and ensuring compliance with international and Indian standards. The engineer will collaborate with firmware, software, and hardware teams to ensure robust product performance, interoperability, and certification readiness.
• Validate Wi-SUN, Bluetooth, MQTT, and Gateway communication protocols on embedded products.
• Analyze network packets using Wireshark and troubleshoot TCP/IPv6 stack issues.
• Perform throughput, latency, and reliability testing for IoT-enabled devices.
• Test end-to-end firmware-to-cloud integrations over MQTT/TCP/IP.
• Debug and validate 6LoWPAN, UDP, DHCPv6, and RPL stack implementations.
• Develop and automate validation scripts to capture and analyze communication logs.
• Collaborate with developers to improve firmware stability and ensure protocol compliance.
• Validate EV Control Units (ECUs), Battery Management Systems (BMS), and Motor Controllers for 2-wheeler platforms.
• Perform CAN and UART-based communication tests between ECUs.
• Execute performance, endurance, and environmental testing as per EV validation standards.
• Test the integration of connectivity features such as Bluetooth, MQTT, and Wi-SUN in EV telemetry modules.
• Support debugging of power electronics and firmware during validation cycles.
• Coordinate with OEMs and R&D teams to prepare validation reports and reproduce field issues.
• Sound understanding in DLMS/COSEM, Wi-SUN, and TCP/IPv6 communication protocols.
• Strong expertise in Python automation, Wireshark analysis, and embedded C basics.
• Sound understanding of EEPROM, I2C, timers, interrupts, and UART communication.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jenkins for CI/CD and test management.
• Familiarity with EV systems, battery communication protocols, and gateway validation.
• Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
• Proven leadership in managing cross-functional validation teams.
• Effective collaboration with clients, OEMs, and development partners.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Capable of driving testing from requirement analysis through final certification.
