Job role and responsibilities

Job Title: E-commerce | Market Place Lead

Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Ahmedabad (Head Office)

CTC INR UPTO 35 Lacs Per Annum


About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic E-commerce Lead to spearhead the growth and management of Client's e-commerce business across 15+ marketplaces, including Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, Myntra, and more. This leadership role demands ownership of the entire P&L, driving robust business expansion and building strong partnerships with online retail platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & P&L Ownership:

Take complete ownership of the growth, profitability, and overall performance of Client's e-commerce verticals.


Strategic Planning & Forecasting:

Develop and execute annual sales forecasts, business plans, and resource allocation strategies aligned with company goals and marketplace dynamics.


Marketplace Management & Partner Relations:

Manage end-to-end relationships with multiple e-commerce platforms and partners, leveraging these channels to maximise brand visibility and sales.


Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a cross-functional team comprising key account executives, operations executives, and marketing professionals to achieve daily and long-term sales targets.


Channel Marketing:

Drive promotions, branding, content strategy, and merchandising initiatives to boost conversion rates and optimise customer engagement.

Operations Oversight:

Oversee stock management, order fulfilment, quality control, and customer experience metrics to ensure smooth marketplace operations.


Data-Driven Decision Making:

Analyse category performance, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour trends to proactively adjust strategies.


Process Optimisation:

Establish sustainable, scalable processes and implement fast, data-backed experiments to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

·      6-8 years of experience managing e-commerce business or key accounts, ideally in personal care or related FMCG categories.

·      Graduate with an MBA from a Tier-1 institute.

·      Experience with ERP systems and digital collaboration tools.

·      Self-motivated learner with resilience to overcome challenges and deliver results consistently.


Nice to Have:


·      Knowledge of SEO and content creation tailored for e-commerce platforms.

·      Hands-on experience managing large-scale e-commerce accounts across multiple regions.
