OVERVIEW:

Director – Manufacturing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to all manufacturing operations across multiple plants.
• Oversee production planning, quality assurance, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain functions.
• Drive operational efficiency through Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement practices.
• Lead cost optimization, capacity utilization, and process automation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with international standards for safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with corporate goals and expansion plans.
• Manage budgets, resource planning, and capital expenditure for multiple plants.
• Mentor and guide plant heads, engineers, and managers to achieve operational excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, and Procurement for integrated operations.
• Report performance metrics and strategic plans to senior management.

PRE-REQUISITES:

• Minimum of

  12 years of experience

  in large-scale

  manufacturing operations

  , with at least

  5 years in a senior leadership role

  managing multi-plant operations.
• Open to candidates from

  any manufacturing industry background

  — exposure to

  apparel, packaging, or labeling sectors

  will be an added advantage.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Management

  ; a

  Master’s degree (MBA / MSc in Operations or Industrial Engineering)

  preferred.
• Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing systems, process automation, and efficiency improvement tools.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and implement operational best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• High proficiency in

  English

  (both written and verbal).
• Must be willing to

  relocate to or be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
