Role Overview

The Legal Department ensures all client, vendor, and third-party agreements comply with internal standards and applicable local and international regulations, while providing legal advisory support, managing contract negotiations, and supporting business operations and growth across geographies.

Role & Responsibilities

Contract Management

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on

  commercial, third-party, operations, and services agreements

  , and provide

  time-sensitive contract support

  to stakeholders.

Legal Strategy & Advisory

• Partner with

  senior leadership

  to define and execute legal strategy and provide

  practical legal advice

  to management and board members.
• Review and drive

  corporate policies and compliance frameworks

  (Code of Ethics, HR compliance, POSH, etc.).

Entity Management, Formation & Structure

• Advise on

  entity formation and structuring

  across jurisdictions, including entity type and location selection.
• Ensure compliance with

  corporate governance

  , board processes, statutory filings, and maintenance of records.

Risk Identification & Management

• Identify and advise on

  legal and regulatory risks

  related to partnerships, compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and IP.
• Act as lead counsel on

  strategic transactions, commercial issues, and pre-litigation matters

  .

External Counsel Management

• Coordinate with

  external legal advisors across geographies

  and manage the

  end-to-end handling of legal and statutory notices

  .

Leadership & Managerial Responsibilities

• Drive

  productivity, efficiency, and service quality

  through KPIs and process improvements.
• Lead

  hiring, training, mentoring

  , budgeting, and capacity planning for the Legal team.

Prerequisites

• Strong understanding of

  laws applicable to financial services organizations

  .
• Extensive experience in

  corporate legal compliance, governance frameworks, and policy management

  .
