About the Role:

Digital Transformation Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess IT Infrastructure:

• Conduct detailed assessments of current IT infrastructure, including data centers, network architecture, cloud readiness, storage, compute, and operational support systems.

• Transformation Roadmap Development:

• Develop and present a phased, business-aligned roadmap for infrastructure modernization and digital enablement (cloud adoption, automation, cybersecurity, etc.).

• Industry-Specific Strategy:

• Leverage Oil & Gas industry knowledge to align IT transformation initiatives with sector-specific requirements such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, regulatory compliance (e.g., NERC, FERC), and HSE systems.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate with senior IT leaders, business unit heads, and engineering teams to gather requirements, validate findings, and ensure stakeholder buy-in for transformation strategy.

• Technology Advisory:

• Provide recommendations on emerging technologies (cloud platforms, edge computing, IoT, cybersecurity frameworks) that can improve operational efficiency, safety, and cost optimization.

• Change Management:

• Drive organizational change by defining impact on people, process, and technology. Collaborate with HR, training, and communication teams for successful implementation.

• Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

• Identify infrastructure risks, security gaps, and compliance challenges; define remediation strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in IT consulting or digital transformation roles.
• Proven track record of conducting

  IT infrastructure assessments

  and developing

  digital transformation roadmaps

  .
• Strong understanding of

  Oil & Gas operations

  (Exploration & Production, Refining, Transportation, and Distribution).
• Experience with technologies like cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), virtualization, SD-WAN, OT/IT convergence, and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISA/IEC 62443).
• Familiarity with industry-specific platforms (e.g., PI System, SAP IS-Oil, Maximo, AVEVA, AspenTech).
• Strong analytical and presentation skills with experience in stakeholder-facing roles.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, or relevant cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Direct involvement in

  infrastructure transformation programs in Oil & Gas companies

  .
• Experience working with or for EPCs, Supermajors, or national oil companies.
• Understanding of sustainability initiatives and ESG reporting impact on IT systems.
