DevOps Engineer
with
4-6 years of hands-on experience
in designing, implementing, and managing scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise across cloud platforms, automation, containerization, and monitoring systems, as well as the ability to collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to drive seamless deployments and operational excellence. This role is critical for ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of production systems while continuously improving engineering efficiency.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP), ensuring scalability, security, cost optimization, and best practices for environment management.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to automate provisioning, configuration, and resource lifecycle management.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster administration, workload optimization, and autoscaling.
- Work closely with engineering teams to automate build, release, deployment, and configuration activities across multiple environments.
- Ensure strong system monitoring, alerting, and logging using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch.
- Maintain high standards of security, compliance, and resilience, implementing best practices for secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and backup/recovery.
- Perform root cause analysis, improve incident response processes, and ensure minimal downtime through proactive monitoring and continuous improvements.
- Support performance tuning, optimization initiatives, and capacity planning to ensure a smooth and scalable production environment.
- Build and maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment workflows, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4-6 years of experience working in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Operations roles.
- Strong expertise with Linux administration, scripting (Bash/PowerShell), and one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and VPCs.
- Experience with source code management using Git and managing branching strategies.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing production workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proven ability to build automated CI/CD pipelines and manage deployment strategies such as blue-green, rolling updates, and canary releases.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to microservices architecture, service mesh, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with security best practices, IAM, KMS, certificate management, and container scanning.
- Experience with log aggregation and APM tools.
- Certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP DevOps Engineer, CKA, or CKAD are a plus
