DevOps Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Salesforce Release Manager with deep hands-on experience in Copado to drive release planning, governance, and deployment execution for a large, multi-org Salesforce program. The ideal candidate will partner with DevOps Architects, Solution Architects, and delivery teams to manage end-to-end release cycles through Copado, ensuring scalability, auditability, and deployment consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage the Copado-based release management process, including pipelines, promotions, environments, and deployment approvals.

Define and maintain the Copado branching strategy, working closely with DevOps/architecture leads to align with packaging and feature delivery models.

Manage release calendars, sprint alignments, change control, and cross-team deployment coordination.

Implement and govern Copado user roles, permissions, and change management processes, ensuring traceability and audit compliance.

Lead deployment planning, back promotion strategies, conflict resolution, hotfix protocols, and rollback readiness.

Drive Copado reports and dashboards to track release health, deployment velocity, and bottlenecks.

Coordinate with business and QA teams for UAT readiness and production cutovers, including dry runs and smoke testing.

Educate and enable teams on Copado best practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD hygiene.

Required Skills & Experience:

6+ years of Salesforce release management experience, with 3+ years working hands-on with Copado.

Proven track record of managing complex Copado pipelines across multiple Salesforce orgs.

Expertise in Git-based version control, branch conflict resolution, and metadata merge strategies.

Deep understanding of Salesforce metadata types, scratch orgs, unlocked/package-based deployments.

Experience with Copado CLI, Copado Compliance Hub, and test automation integration is a plus.

Strong stakeholder communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
